Benefits of Joining

With over 20 unique undergraduate degrees offered through the Fulton Schools of Engineering, it is important for students to have access to the academic support and guidance to customize your degree program at ASU. Arizona State University is a strong advocate of diversity and using your own unique perspectives and experiences to build a professional identity.

Engineering Futures promotes an understanding of why you belong here at ASU and what you can bring to the field! The program hopes to encourage you to find unexpected opportunities and use your education to start making local and global change to impact the world.

Mentors are current high achieving junior and senior students that know exactly what it means to be a student in the Fulton Schools. They are willing to share their experiences, and help you find the connections, skills, and resources necessary for you to succeed. Mentors are here to help you navigate the large amount of opportunities at ASU available, making them less overwhelming and more manageable.

Mentors will help you:

  • Develop valuable study skills, work habits, and networking practices.
  • Connect to resources for academic/professional development.
  • Encourage and inform you of events and activities taking place around ASU
  • Find a balance with academics, extracurricular activities, and social life.
  • Take part in a community to make degree and even lifelong connections.
  • Set and achieve your goals for engineering and beyond.

Engineering Futures aims connect mentees with other students within their degree program and specific school in the Fulton Schools. Building friendships with fellow students and faculty is essential for success. Engineering Futures hopes to hold events such as dinners, hiking trips, ice cream socials, movie nights and more to create a community of support while taking some well-deserved time to have fun and relax.

These experiences will help you get involved with internships, research, job opportunities, and more!
